HDM Solar, one of Yorkshire's fastest-growing solar and renewable equipment suppliers, took a further step towards fleet electrification with the delivery of its first Vauxhall Vivaro-e, fully electric delivery vehicle.

HDM Solar's commitment to reducing emissions has an obvious connection with the market in which it operates. Having already invested significantly in reducing reliance on fossil fuels, with the installation of a 36 panel solar array and the switch to fully electric company cars, the arrival of the Vivaro-e is the next step on the road to converting the delivery fleet to electric.

The Vauxhall Vivaro-e has a 205 mile range making daily deliveries to Hull, York, Doncaster, Sheffield and Leeds a breeze. It also ensures accessing emission-free air quality zones are not a problem giving the business access to a wider, environmentally conscious market.

The arrival of the new vehicle is also an expansion of the company's existing fleet meaning the delivery capacity has been increased in response to ever increasing demand for solar and renewable energy products. HDM Solar's rapid growth has also seen the Hull based business expand from its West Hull headquarters to two further warehouse and distribution facilities in the city.
